Named 2001 Jan 09 for Miyoshi Ida (1953-) [MPC041935].

Companion discovered 2024 Aug 21 by K. Miyashita, H. Watanabe, H. Yamamura, and N. Manago using stellar occultation observations from Nachikatsuura, Wakayama, Japan; Taiji, Wakayama, Japan. Announced 2025 Feb 26 [M25a].
