Corrections and comments on statements in Southern Baptist politics
It is unfortunately the case that some groups periodically make untrue or misleading statements in the context of Southern Baptist politics. The following pages address a sampling of these statements made by convention entities, giving particular attention to issues in Texas. While many statements would be at issue regarding possible interpretation, this section is primarly concerned with statements which are literally false or are misleading due to incomplete presentation of facts.
As much as possible, links to primary source documents are included. Links in bold are on this site; others are external links. Documents denoted with (analysis) are evaluations and analyses by me and reflect my conclusions; no one else should be held responsible for them.
