• Abortions, estimated (medication) are estimates of non-surgical medication-induced abortions.
• Abortions, estimated (total) are totals for reported abortions and estimated medication-induced abortions.
• Miscarriages generally includes spontaneous fetal losses/spontaneous abortions, fetal deaths, or stillbirths, regardless of gestation period.
• Fetal deaths includes stillbirths.
• Abortion ratio is abortions per 1000 live births.
• Abortion % is abortions as percentage of pregnancies (excluding fetal deaths/miscarriages).
• Abortion rate is abortions per 1000 women ages 15-49.

Lakshadweep is a territory renamed from the territory of Laccadive, Minicoy and Amindivid Islands in 1973.
