Description:

Two guards injured in shooting attack at an entrance gate to the Pentagon, Alexandria, Virginia; the gunman was shot and killed.

The gunman, John Patrick Bedell, had espoused anti-government and anti-military views and 9/11 conspiracy claims, and had an arrest record for marijuana violations.

Consequences: 1 killed, 2 injured
