Description:

A gunman walked up to a police officer in his patrol car on the street and fired at him; the officer was injured but fired back, injuring the attacker who was caught a short time later.

The attacker, Edward Archer, told police his actions were "in the name of Islam", that police enforce laws counter to the Koran, and stated that his allegiance was to the Islamic State.

Consequences: 2 injured
